The Food Safety Atlas is free general information. Your business stays responsible for its own food safety.
General information only. The Atlas is provided by MFC Safe Pty Ltd (ABN 12 634 182 424). It is not legal, technical or professional advice for your business, and it does not replace your food safety plan, your regulator or a qualified adviser.
Assess your own business. Every food business has its own food, processes, customers and legal duties. You must assess your own and set and your own . Examples, figures, scenarios, worked plans and practice ranges are illustrations. They are not limits for your business and they don't show that a process is safe.
Check the law that applies to you. Food law differs by country, state and local authority, and it changes. The Atlas summarises and points to sources. If it differs from the law or your regulator's advice, the law and your regulator decide. We work to keep the Atlas accurate and up to date, but we don't promise that it is complete, correct or current.
Our liability. You use the Atlas at your own risk. To the extent the law allows, MFC Safe Pty Ltd is not liable for any loss, injury, illness, penalty or damage arising from using or relying on it. Nothing here excludes a right or guarantee that the law says can't be , including under the Australian Consumer Law.
Regulators, standards and schemes. They are named for reference only. None of them has reviewed or approved the Atlas, and their documents belong to their owners. Go to the original for the exact wording. If you own material mentioned here and have a concern, tell us through mfcsafe.com and we will look at it promptly.
Courses and . A course certificate records that you completed self-paced learning. It is not a licence, a recognised qualification or proof of competence for a legal requirement.
Demonstrations. The Try DOM examples are demonstrations using made-up data, and what you enter stays in your own browser. Please don't enter real or personal information. Ask the Atlas answers from the Atlas's own pages and can be wrong, so check its answer against the page it cites.
If someone is unwell. The Atlas is not for emergencies. If someone is having an allergic or is seriously unwell, call your local emergency number.
