Food Safety Atlas

Getting and keeping permission to trade

Technical reference

Everything in the table is law, not guidance. It is a summary, so read the Act for your business and confirm with the regulator. In Singapore the Food Safety and Security Act 2025 commences in stages, and its licensing parts had not commenced when this was read in October 2026, so the older Acts apply. When they do commence, expect one food business licence.
