Close each day before the week
Each day, check that every record yesterday's work should have made exists, chase what is incomplete, and list problems still open.
The list names who must act on each open problem and how old it is, and it goes further up once it passes the age your plan sets.
A number is keyed in the next day so that the record looks complete.
A reading that was never taken is closed as not taken, never with an invented number. Count missing records beside breaches, not inside them, so neither figure hides the other. An open problem ages from when it was found, so a stage waiting on someone doesn't stop the clock. Say which day a job belongs to, so that work crossing midnight appears on exactly one day.
